I am Jens Leinert and I help companies to integrate Bitcoin and Lightning as a means of payment. With over 20 years of experience in the online payment industry, my focus today is on consulting, implementation and education around Bitcoin payments.
My name is Jens Leinert and I have dedicated my professional career to the world of online payments. After a banking apprenticeship and a degree in business administration, I accompanied the rapid development of e-commerce and the internet payment industry for over two decades.
I have been fascinated by Bitcoin and its possibilities for payment processing since 2013. Today, I focus entirely on Bitcoin and the Lightning Network – out of conviction and passion.
As managing director of the Bitcoin e-commerce agency Internetactive, I run the directory Coinpages and the info portal Coincharge. On my YouTube channel, I explain how Bitcoin payments work, and as a board member of the Bitcoin Federal Association I advocate for the interests of Bitcoin companies.
I regularly give talks, advise companies on Bitcoin adoption and invest in Bitcoin-only startups.
As a consultant, speaker and implementation partner, I help companies to integrate Bitcoin and Lightning into their business processes and online stores.
Board of the Bitcoin Bundesverband
As a board member of the Bitcoin Bundesverband, I represent the interests of Bitcoin companies in Germany. The association aims to promote understanding of Bitcoin in society and improve the framework conditions for Bitcoin as a means of payment.
My personal goal is to establish Bitcoin as a means of payment – by showing how many and which companies already accept Bitcoin and by actively working to remove legal and tax hurdles for Bitcoin payments.

At the 3rd Bitcoin Forum I will give a presentation on the topic:”Electronic Cash System” to “Hodl Asset” – and back again? The history and future of Bitcoin as a means of payment”
Bitcoin was conceived in 2008 by Satoshi Nakamoto as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system – digital cash for the internet. But what has become of this vision?
In my presentation, I will show how Bitcoin has evolved over time from a means of payment to a store of value – and now back to a means of payment suitable for everyday use. The stages of this journey range from the famous pizza payment in 2010, to the first acceptances by companies such as Microsoft or Expedia, to the scaling problems from 2017 – and the decisive role of the Lightning Network from 2020.
In addition to the lecture, we will be represented with a stand from Coincharge + Coinpages and show where you can pay with Bitcoin and how you can accept Bitcoin.
